The STL Foundation is a registered Ghanaian charity, which was established to improve life in Ghana, particularly in the fields of education and public health.
As its first project, the STL Foundation adopted one of the most needy schools in the Accra Region, the Oyibi Junior Secondary School. After mapping the needs of both teachers and pupils, the STL foundation has constructed a computer laboratory and library, renovated the school’s old building, installed STL doors, glass windows, , lights and fans and connected to school to electricity and water.
Moreover, the STL Foundation provides enrichment courses in computers, farming, carpentry, culture, literature and more. All activities are conducted with the school's full cooperation and approval from the authorities.
STL supports other schools by awarding grants to high-achieving students. It also sponsors educational programs that nurture excellence, strengthen educational foundations and empower Ghanaian youngsters.
STL provides software, communication and infrastructure solutions to the health sector in Ghana. It provides WAN and LAN services to over 800 offices and health providers.
STL is also involved in public health in Ghana in a more personal note, and it supports Brita and Ori Schwartzman, two Israeli doctors who operate a mobile clinic in the Ashanti region. The two provide medical attention to the residents of rural villages for whom regional clinics and hospitals are inaccessible.
