System Administrator

As part of a team whose responsibilities include 24×7 management of NOC (Satellite devices , Routers, Switches, MPLS, Firewalls and Monitoring tools), the primary responsibility of the Senior Network Engineer is to support the NOC activities of STL environment.

Requirements

PURPOSE            

  • To build, maintain, and troubleshoot IT infrastructure

DUTIES

  • Assists with the design, build up, maintenance and management of Data Centres.
  • Provides first and second level support for all our clients.
  • Monitors the performance of systems
  • Creates a comprehensive report on all systems.
  • Liaises with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

COMPETENCIES               

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent certification
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working Data Centre
  • Must hold a valid MCSE certification

TECHNICAL        

  1. Windows server 2003, 2008, 2012, Red Hat enterprise server, Linux Centos
  2. Storage – EMC, Netapp, including inter-site replication
  3. Virtualization solutions e.g. VMware Vsphere
  4. Backup Solutions

MANAGERIAL   

  • Ability to design, build up, maintenance and maintain work processes
